And also the question of charging infrastructure is becoming louder: charging points on the ramp, on the premises or in external areas? The requirements that e-mobility solutions place on logistics properties are becoming increasingly relevant for us as logistics property consultants and our clients.
At the IAA Transportation in Hanover, our CEO Kuno Neumeier and E.ON Drive, our cooperation partner in terms of charging infrastructure, will be discussing the status quo and the challenges of the mobility transition in logistics. The event and the presentation ‘Electromobility and logistics real estate’ will take place on 18 September 2024 from 14:00 to 15:00 at the E.ON Drive stand (IAA Hall 19-20 / C52).
E.ON Drive is also planning a very special rally at the IAA: the E.ON Drive eTruckathon 2024! On 5 September, E.ON Drive will bring together leading pioneers in the vehicle industry and innovative logistics companies for a joint, electrifying demonstration drive from the E.ON Drive TestingLab in Essen to the IAA Transportation in Hanover. Many well-known logistics companies such as DB Schenker, DHL, Fiege and Gruber Logistik, among many others, are taking part in this exciting event and showing that sustainable logistics can already be a reality.
However, the E.ON Drive eTruckathon is intended to be more than just a technical demonstration - it is a glimpse into the future.It highlights the potential of electromobility and its impact on the logistics industry. From 16 to 22 September 2024, E.ON Drive will be presenting the eTruckathon teams and their technologies and solutions for environmentally friendly logistics at the IAA Transportation.
