lib24 kompriFor the fifth time in a row, the ‘Logistics on the Move’ initiative has motivated logistics-related companies throughout Germany to raise money for a good cause through sporting activities.

With success! The logistics experts covered a total of over 160,000 kilometres from 1 July to 30 September 2024. By running, cycling, hiking or riding, they raised a total of 70,000 euros. As in previous years, all of the proceeds will go to the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.

LiB cheque handover 2For the first time, the cheque handover took place together with all participating companies at Supply Chain CX. Kuno Neumeier, who launched the initiative as CEO of Logivest 2020, together with Sven Eisfeld, CEO Germany of Hellmann Logistics and partner from the very beginning, handed over the cheque to Karin Neumeier, Chairwoman of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation, on behalf of everyone involved. Former ski racer Thomas Dreßen was also there as an ambassador for the foundation and was able to talk to Sky presenter Michael Leopold about his own experiences with grief counselling.

The foundation supports young people up to the age of 49 across the country after the death of their partner, as well as children, teenagers and young adults who are mourning the loss of one or both parents.

‘Especially in these economically challenging times, it is important not to lose sight of the essentials. I am very proud that our industry is once again showing such great commitment and supporting the foundation this year with its great willingness to donate,’ says Kuno Neumeier.

As part of ‘Logistics on the Move’, employees of logistics-related companies from all over Germany recorded the distances they travelled while exercising. Whether running, cycling, swimming or skating - every kilometre counted. At the beginning, the participating companies had the flexibility to decide how much they wanted to donate to reward their employees for the kilometres they had covered. The commitment was documented with photos from the pedometer or the fitness app and the participants spurred each other on via social media channels using the hashtag #LogistikinBewegung.

The following companies have joined the Logistics on the Move2024 logo, exercised for a good cause and made donations: Baytree Logistics Properties LLP, fabrikon GmbH, Four Parx Holding GmbH, Geis Group, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Logivisor.com, Loxxess AG, P3Logistic Parks GmbH, teamtosse GmbH, and Logivest GmbH.
